High speed Vande Bharat Express train will run from March 12
The train will cover the distance of 536 km in eight and a quarter hours

Dehradun: The efforts of Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister (CM) Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami have borne fruit. Northern Railway has approved the operation of high-speed Vande Bharat Express train between Dehradun & Lucknow from March 12. This train will cover the distance of about 536 kilometers from Lucknow to Dehradun in about eight & a quarter hours. CM Dhami expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji & Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for this. Common people were facing problems due to lack of direct train service from Dehradun to Lucknow. Last month, CM Pushkar Dhami had reached Lucknow to inaugurate the Uttarakhand Mahotsav. During this time, the delegation of Hill General Council had met him & requested to operate Vande Bharat Express between Dehradun and Lucknow. He said that lakhs of people of Uttarakhand live in the districts of Eastern & Central Uttar Pradesh including Lucknow. These people have to face trouble to go from Lucknow to Dehradun and other places. Seeing the demand of the public, Chief Minister Dhami had been trying to get a direct rail service between Dehradun-Lucknow for a long time. Apart from writing a letter to the Railway Minister, he also personally met him & requested him to operate the Vande Bharat Express train. Accepting the request of the Chief Minister Dhami, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav approved the Vande Bharat train from Lucknow to Dehradun. Vande Bharat Express train will depart from Lucknow Junction at 5.25 am for Dehradun. Will depart and reach Dehradun at 01:35 pm. It will leave for Lucknow from Dehradun at 02:25 PM on the same day and will reach Lucknow at 10:40 PM late in the night.
