PM Modi inaugurates new Vande Bharat train between Lucknow & Dehradun

Dehradun: India’s Prime Minister (PM) Shri Narendra Modi, today laid the foundation stone and dedicated various development projects worth over Rs 85,000 crore from Ahmedabad. The Prime Minister virtually launched the new Vande Bharat train between Lucknow-Dehradun, Jan Aushadhi Kendra at two stations of Uttarakhand (Kashipur, Rishikesh) and ‘One Station One Product Stall’ at various railway stations of Uttarakhand. Governor Lt Gen Gurmeet Singh (Retd) and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami physically participated in the programme held at Railway Station, Dehradun. Addressing the programme, Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated the Prime Minister and thanked Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav for gifting the Vande Bharat train between Dehradun and Lucknow. He said that the ‘Vande Bharat’ train is a clear example of the Prime Minister’s Modi ji’s vision of a progressive & self-reliant India. Today, unprecedented work has been done in the field of infrastructure in the country. India’s first indigenously built semi-high-speed train ‘Vande Bharat’ showcases the lofty picture of an emerging India. Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has special affection for Uttarakhand. With the support of the central government, Uttarakhand is moving towards rapid development. A budget of Rs 5,120 crore has been allocated for the expansion of railways in Uttarakhand. Redevelopment of six stations is being done under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The Prime Minister Modi ji is fulfilling every demand of Devbhoomi. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, continuous work is being done on air connectivity, ropeways, roads, rail, transport. The demand for operating flights from Dehradun to Ayodhya, Pantnagar to Varanasi has been fulfilled. The demand for train operation between Tanakpur & Dehradun has also been fulfilled. He said that under the leadership of PM Modi ji, the dream of reaching the mountain in Uttarakhand is going to come true. As soon as the Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail line is built, it will be a matter of pride for every Uttarakhandi to operate the train in the inaccessible mountains. Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Sunil Uniyal Gama, DRM RK Singh, concerned officials were present on the occasion.
