CM Dhami launches safety vans for protection of women & girls

Government is committed to the all-round development of women: Dhami

Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister (CM) Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami on Saturday flagged off the mobile vans in the state. He also flagged off a campaign and rescue mobile vans for strengthening all aspects of safety and security of women and adolescent girls in hilly areas of Uttarakhand. While addressing the program, the Chief Minister Dhami said that our government is always committed to the all-round development of women, adolescent girls and children; & this initiative of the Women Empowerment and Child Development Department is commendable. It is noteworthy that these mobile vans are being deployed in villages in the districts of the state. By going to the village and ensuring publicity of all the schemes run by the Central & State Government related to women and adolescent girls, making efforts to reach the benefits of those schemes to the beneficiaries and also providing security to any victimized woman or adolescent girl by providing medical, legal and shelter assistance. On this occasion, Chief Secretary Mrs. Radha Raturi, Secretary Mr. Chandresh Kumar Yadav, Additional Secretary Prashant Kumar Arya, Deputy Director Mr. Vikram Singh, Chief Probation Officer Mr. Mohit Chaudhary, State Project Director Ms. Aarti Balodi, Nodal Officer Headquarters Mr. Uday Pratap Singh, District Program Officer, Haridwar, Mrs. Sulekha Sehgal, Child Development Project Officer, Headquarters, Mrs. Taruna Chamola and related officers and officials were present.
