Dehradun: Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister (CM) Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami today visited Bhatwadi in Uttarkashi district to attend a public gathering. He thanked the people, women & youth who welcomed him with flowers & showered him with their blessings. CM Dhami started his speech by praising Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi ji & the work done by him for India & for Uttarakhand. He also paid tribute to the regional gods & goddesses & Gangotri, Yamunotri. He said that earlier people used to make fun of India & didn’t talk much about it. But ever since PM Modi ji became the Prime Minister of India, he created a new identity of India across the whole world. Today the world knows & talks about a new rising India. He stated how PM Modi ji ensured that every citizen of India gets free vaccine during Corona epidemic. He mentioned how PM Modi ji talked to Russia & Ukraine’s presidents via phone; & got a temporary ceasefire to get the trapped Indian students out of the warzone, safely back to their homes. He also pointed out how India hosted G-20 recently. And how 2 sub-events of G-20 Summit were held in Uttarakhand’s Narendra Nagar & Rishikesh. Through them, the world got to see Uttarakhand’s rich culture, tradition & natural beauty for the first time. CM Dhami also talked about how much work has been done at a fast pace- such as construction of 32 km highway on daily basis, setting up of new IITs, IIMs, new govt. hospitals, rail-road connectivity, opening of new airports, etc. All these works are being done under the able leadership of PM Modi ji. CM Dhami also mentioned that under PM Modi ji led BJP govt. at the centre, 4 crore homes for poor have been made of which 85,000 are being made in Uttarakhand. He also talked about Kissan Yojana (scheme for farmers), various schemes for women, child education, etc. He also mentioned the challenging time of Corona and how PM Modi ji started scheme to provide free food twice a day to the poor & underprivileged during that time, which continues till date. He stated that we are not just the people of Devbhoomi, but we are also the people of Veerbhumi who have played an important role to bring peace in Jammu & Kashmir; and to safeguard India’s borders in the east & west. He said that BJP govt. at the centre led by PM Modi ji & the state govt. led by him have worked hard to fulfil promises made by us. He pointed out how PM Modi ji ensured opening of Jandhan accounts for the poor in all public sector banks, & providing free gas cylinders for women of poor households through Ujwala Yojana, Vibrant village scheme to upgrade infrastructure in rural villages in hilly areas. Under PM Modi ji’s leadership many development works are being done, benefit of which is reaching out to the last man of the society.
Chief Minister Dhami also brought to light how after bringing anti-copying act, students have been appearing in not just 1 or 2 but many competitive exams. Now they are getting multiple govt. as well as pvt. job offers, based on their talent & hard work. He also pointed out that his govt. has provided upto 30% reservation for women in all govt. jobs of Uttarakhand to ensure their progress. Citing the Vanbhulpura incident, he said that his govt. ensured that no anti-social elements will be allowed to cause harm to life & public property. Anyone who does so, will be punished by being sent to jail & by recovering amount for loss of property through heavy fines. He also mentioned Lakhpati Didi, Vridh Awastha pension, uplifting women through SHGs (self-help groups), which were implemented by his government. He also mentioned how his govt. introduced & implemented CAA, anti-copying act, act against illegal mining, curbing land mafia, love jihaad, triple talaq etc. to provide security to people & women of both- Hindu & Muslim communities. CM Dhami informed that a Mahavidyalaya (Govt. College) is being established in Gangotri, a new 30-40 bed govt. hospital will also be constructed in Gangotri. He pointed out that Congress doesn’t care about women-power by not fielding any woman candidate but BJP has fielded women candidates across various states including Uttarakhand. He stated that if Modi ji wins the upcoming lok sabha polls & becomes PM for a 3rd time, then he will definitely make India the world’s 3rd most powerful economy. He also appealed people including women to vote for BJP’s woman candidate Mala Rajlakshmi Shah. He also urged people to vote first with a slogan “Pehle matdaan, fir jalpaan” & ended with slogan “Fir ek bar, Modi sarkaar”.
